Ray Hutto has been working on stringed instruments most of his life. It could be your
violin, cello, modern and vintage guitar, mandolin, banjo or even a monster double bass,
Ray can repair almost any stringed instrument! When not working on instruments, his
passion is to play guitar, which he is very incredible at! Ray also likes to work on
vintage automobiles and collect/sell rare movie posters. Ray’s father, John Hutto has
built some of the finest and most sought-after mandolins around (Hutto Mandolins). Much of
his attention to detail & care really rubbed off on his son Ray. We are very glad to
have Ray here at Rock Bottom Music. He has a way of making you smile even if your favorite
guitar needs the headstock glued back on!
Kevin Ellis is a Certified Stringed Instrument Master Technician and Custom
Paint/Re-finish Expert heading-up "Dream Guitar Works" at Rock Bottom Music!
Kevin
Ellis was born and raised in Long Island, New York . He lived there in the 60s and 70s
which was a great experience. Kevin possessed an early interest in music and arts and was
surrounded by many great musicians and artists from his hometown. Playing electric guitar
himself throughout his life he came to value quality instruments. His father was an
engineer which contributed to his interest and talent for creating and fixing things. That
is how Rock Bottom Music "Dream Guitar Works" came to fruition.
Rock
Bottom Music "Dream GuitarWorks" has developed from many years of preparation.
Kevin is a certified Luthier and graduate from Atlanta Guitar Works School of
Building and Repair. He holds certification from PPG as a Certified
Technician. He specializes in guitar painting, refinishing and repair.
Custom bone work which includes nuts and saddles is a focal point of Kevin’s
skills. Fretboard inlay customization is also a particular forte.
